Somedays You Just Don't Care

You ever have one of those days where you're not feeling yourself ? So you just feel like telling the world to go to that special place!

Yeah today I really feel like screaming!

Not that something has gone down or anything. But it's just one of those days.

I guess I could just think about all the reasons why I don't want to repeat and all the shit in school I wont miss (but that's another post), I guess that all could inspire me to cop-on and study hardcore.

But to be honest I just don't see it happening tonight. Plus 'Terminator Salvation' is going to be on in half an hour and for some odd reason I haven't actually seen this one yet.

Unfortunately I'm not a machine, I need my day & night off, every now and again.

Project Maths: Intense Revision

Yeah so know I know why they call it 'Intense Revision Course'.

I think in total it was more or less eight hours of maths, with only two 10min break and one 50min food break.

By the end of it all, I was so exhausted and passive that I decided just to keep my head down and transcribe some notes.

But it was definitely an eye-opener. Went through allot of basic things and are key components in common mistakes. The only section of the paper one course that we didn't get through was integration. However the maths tutor person has agreed to meet up with two friends and I for an integration-only session -for free! So for me that's a pretty sweet deal! Perhaps a 3:1 will be more beneficial, might get to go through exactly what I need.

I'll share some tips and good stuff with ye later. Too tired to go through it now!So far it has definitely lived up to my expectations. Now to see what tricks he has up his sleeve for paper two!

CAO: Time is Running Out!

There is six days left until the CAO needs to be filled in.

I have got zero options for level 6/7. I dunno I've never thought about going to an IT or a senior college. Maybe I'm just being university snobbish! What to put down? What to put down?

Everyone should make a backup plan!
If all fails I shall:
  • learn to play acoustic guitar
  • Buy some ripped jeans
  • Grow my hair
  • Plan busking weekends
  • Learn to sing
  • Then go busking and live of my voice...
So yeah I did get kicked outta choir but hey people might give me money to stop singing! Good old verse psychology!

Entry Requirements: Update

So I had emailed the lecturer of the course that I wanted and he replied last night.

I have to say, he is a very negative man! He claimed that even if I got 600 points without a C2 in maths i wouldn't get into the course. Can he be anymore depressing!? And he also said that if I really wanted that course I should be getting an A1 or minimum B1in maths!

Seriously, he was so negative. I thought the purpose of having a lecturers email on the prospective is to encourage you to do their course! Obviously I got v-upset! But it's ok though. I have gotten myself a maths tutor and will work my ass to prove him wrong. His negativity is now my motivation! (:

Entry Requirements

So yesterday I had a freak attack! On analysing my cao course choices (see what I did there :P ), I realised that with my Christmas test point I would have totally got my course.

Then when I looked at the entry requirements again I noticed it had said that a C2 in higher level maths was necessary. Ya I got a D2! For F sake!

So does that mean I wouldn't get in, though I got higher point then what is required?

After starring blankly at the laptop screen for about an hour I decided to email the course lecturer guy. Pending reply...

To change CAO or drop down in maths?

The love of a Couch

The love of a couch is quite amazing.
How it holds you perfectly, how its centered just right, to give you the best possible view of the tv!

Tonight after school I had math lecture and tutorial until 8.30. Got home for 10 to 9 and quickly put on the garlic bread and pizza in the oven and rushed to the couch! 'Sex and the City' - the movie was on at 9!

Spent all night watching it and just now remember I had homework! But it's ok. When you're trying your best at school and sometimes feel overwhelmed, a quick cure might be to just forget the homework and relax for 3 hours.

Go on, go watch something good. You deserve it!

The love of a couch is a mighty one! Ah, sweet procrastination !
