Yuumm ...

So I wanted a snack to complement me with my Friday night movie! So I thought: yeah I could'd do with a cookie or two!
My version of white chocolate cookies! These babies are crunchy butterly based cookies flooded with white chocolate chips!
x

Mmmmm
All You Need:
  • 230g Butter                                     Servings ~36
  • 150g Granulated Sugar
  • 150g Brown Sugar                         Time ~25
  • 1 Egg
  • 280g Plain Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 150g White Chocolate
How To?
→  Preheat oven @ 350/gas mark 4.
→  Beat sugars + butter until fluffy.
→  Add egg and beat well.
→  Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually add to butter mixture.

→ Add in the white choco chips.
→ If you don't have any then get a big rock and wrap your ordinary choco in some tin foil and beat it up. That's what I had to do today. Literally!
→ Scoop up some dough with a soup spoon and drop it on the baking paper.
→ Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown around the edges. Leave to cool for 5 mins, 2 of those mins should be left in the baking tray.

*hint hint* There will be allot more cookies if you don't eat 1/4 of the dough. (:
Hope ye try this and let me know if you do! Enjoy!!

If You're Random...

My brother has a very random YouTube page where he post video of random stuff.
For example here is 14year old me trying to learn some keyboard techniques:

Lol I know, it's slightly painful to the ear drums! Needless to say, the keyboard now sits in a different room, gathering dust.

If you wanna see more random videos like this, check out his channel here!  (:

Oraling It Up!

So I haven't been feeling well lately and this morning I finally decided to get my act together and go for a check up! Turns out those 39*C fevers I have been having is because I have a severely infected throat. Now I'm on antibiotics (AGAIN - lol 3rd time this year already. Hey maybe I'll have one for each month of the year?) for 7 days and some other fuzzy fun stuff!

I do hope I get my voice back in time for the orals, otherwise that would be an awkward 15 minutes!

Since I missed all the hardcore oral stuff in both French and Irish, I've recruited some help for the following two weeks!

Helper #1
My sweet sweet sister, which I now pity because she's in for a fair bit of a roller coaster ride! If only she knew what I've got planned. But she did voluntarily agree to it. So her loss lol. Oh and if you're reading this... you know what I'm like so don't complain. ILY (:

Helper #2
The one and only Carla Bruni! See the big idea here is that by listening to some... let's say good french music. It should make me more adaptable to it. Thus easily understanding and not being so passive of the french language. Good theory right? Lol we'll see if it works! Oh and if you've never heard of Madame Bruni have a look at this:

Helper #3
Some good'ole Gaelic folk music! Check these guys out! Oh and if you do some other language like German or Spanish or stuff like that, then just 'YouTube it'. I guarantee that if you listen to the same-ish songs like 20 times, your brain is bound to get a few lines of it 'stuck in your head'. That should stimulate you to attempt to sing it out and hence get a fancy accent! I use to despise french before but now that I'm listening to their songs and mimicking the singers I'm bettering my accent! My theories are awesome lol! Let me know if you try this! Or if you've got a better idea for me.

Helper #4
Contacts! Apparently my mother knows someone who is fluent in Irish and has another friend who comes from France so she is setting me up on a mate-date! Hopefully they will get my accent going and help out with vocabulary issues! Got no contacts? Then try using translate.google.com or just listen to more music?

Helper #5
I might do a quick fix and go to an Easter french revision course or at least the mock-oral.

On other irrelevant updates...

My dog Lucy is on her heat again.
Considering that in her last 3 heats she got pregnant, I do wonder what will happen this time?

Lucy

Last Tuesday the 27th marked the official 1 month-anniversary of my surgery.
Yay to back to normality! One of my friends from school also asked this week, after seeing my tiny scars, how will I be able to wear a bikini now? Their tiny seriously! To me they just look like a cat scratched me and then it got sun burned lol. Somehow she couldn't understand how I wasn't bothered about the idea of throwing on  bikini. Good thing I'm not highly sensitive to my looks -otherwise that could have ended badly! Oh and should get the last stitch out soon!

I think that's it for now. Message me if you have any fun study ideas for me! (:

Peeping Tom- The Vengeance

What a gorgeous day! So today I decided to take a break from my not-so-hardcore study schedule!
I was honestly not expecting today to be so beautiful and so warm! So to impress my chemistry teacher who is always talking about how, we who live in Ireland need more Vitamin D in our diet, I decided to spend some quality time absorbing the sunshine vitamin.

Playing fetch
Since I couldn't make it to the beach, I put on one of my extremely flowy dress, sunglasses and an over-sized hat. I sat in the front garden with my my sister and ALL FOUR dogs. Needless to say it soon became chaotic fun playing fetch.

Then one of my overly stuck-up-her-own-behind neighbor stepped out of her house with her daughter. Not only throwing me a snarky and disparaging look but also proceeded to point and laugh. And I so plotted for vengeance.

Semi boneless ribs
And so it began. I turned on some music, loud enough that my windows were vibrating. Opened the window and plugged in my electric grill . Seasoned some semi boneless ribs and thin beef.

So so yummy!

Can you see the smoke? Mmmm
The result? A wonderful day in the sun with loud music, awesome barbecued beef & ribs, ice cold beer and my sister and mother. Oh and all four dogs. I think I might have even gotten a tiny tan.

The marvelous smell of the well seasoned barbecue became intoxicating. Not one place of my neighborhood  went without its diffused smell. Sorry for any vegetarians out there but I had to make my neighbor jealous. And It worked. Caught peeping tom glancing over a few time, indulging in the magnificent smell.

So I guess it was all worth while. Gotta go for now, need to finish my document for the totally awesome french oral which I'm totally excited for and not freaked out about. (Yes, you guessed it right! #Utter Sarcasm)

Freaking Out'

It's crazy how time is flying now. I always heard of everyone whom have completed their LC talk about how time will just fly by after you've done your pres and I always thought "yeah I know what you mean" but WOW, you honestly don't understand it, until your bang right in the middle of it!

One week left until the Easter break and then two weeks of interrupted class time thanks to our precious orals (which I'm freaking out about by the way since most of the work was covered while I was away getting stitched up) and then four teaching weeks and that is it. We are on our own to do as we please with our LC.

Kinda shocks you a little doesn't it? I don't know about everyone else but I seriously have to push myself right now. You know that overwhelming feeling when you know you've got so much to do that instead of getting up and doing it you just sit there thinking and planing all the great things you're going do but don't actually get up and do it? You know the one? Yeah I'm in that zone right now...

How did it come to this? I had such a great study plan and routine before but now I find myself watching hours and hours of YouTube comedy. The only exercise my fingers are getting are helping the palm of my hand hold up the remote control, flicking back and forth between 'The Big Bang Theory' and Scrubs! Never mind practicing an essay. Damn you procrastination and it's momentary satisfaction! Damn you to hell!

Fine, fine, fine, fine. I will now surrender to my books and revision plan. No more planing anything. I have got to get real here. Just do it!

The next few weeks are going to be delightful! Yay!

First Day Back!

After missing 3 weeks of school, I was ready to turn around and go straight back home before it had even reached 30 minutes that I had arrived at school.

Whenever I thought of school, all that passed through my mind was how much notes I was missing out on. Oh and of course the lunch time gossip! Never for a second had I thought about actually being in school.

Boy oh boy, I had easily forgotten the dirty graffiti-rich compressed toilets, the packed hallways and the sugar high junior certs.

Two girls were tossing each other around near where I was sitting, one almost hit off my belly - SEVERAL TIMES! I got so scared that I actually started to silently cry. Not only because of the vigorous question of whether or not she was about to hit off my belly and cause more damage but also because I could not believe that I had actually missed this place. What was I thinking?

All of that drama aside, being back was truly overwhelming. I have got 3 weeks of 7 subject notes to catch up on plus homework and revision to do. I've got to say though, thank you to all my friends for all the help. Not having to carry my books around is great! The teacher are being great, all being extra sweet and one even went through the trouble of giving me her chair at lunch time, as the hall was packed out.

Time to stash away my 'Sims 3' & killer heels, bring on my sweat pants & junk food, shit's about to go down!

 ...

Or maybe just one last night of sweet procrastination.
99 days left until freedom. Is it wrong that I wish I had a little more time?

To Be Or Not To Be A Repeat Student?

So these last 3 weeks haven't been great. In short I've only been to school for 2 days which consisted of my leaving the first after two hours and the second of my leaving after 4 hours.

You already know what happened the first week (If not then click here) but in brief here is what happened the second week and what is going on now.

Sun 26th
Had horrible abdominal pain, ended up in emergency room.

Mon 27th
Turns out stomach pains were contractions. Delivered a baby. LOL JK got my appendix removed. Unfortunately there some complications.

Fri 2nd
After almost completely losing sanity, I was finally discharged with some conditions. Mainly that I remain at home resting for another week.

So today is the 5th and I'm going crazy. I recently discovered that I also cant push myself. My mummy has been helping me to have a shower since the surgery and this morning I attempted to wash my own hair. As I began shampooing I became increasingly light headed and exhausted. So it looks like I'll be depending on mummy a while longer which actually drives me nuts. I do so enjoy my independence.

So with missing so much school work the real question is will I be repeating or not?

I actually think students are at a higher advantage if they repeat. I have a friend currently repeating her leaving cert and her grades are allot better than anyone in my class. Yes we're in the same class.
So yeah I think she definitely has an advantage over us.

Think about it! You'd know what's coming so it completely eliminates the element of surprise & anxiety! Plus you would have your course completely finished so you could work most of your energy on preparing exam question!

There is however the negative side! In English there would be some new poetry and play. In maths there would be two new strands. But still though, I guess where there is a will there is a way.

So should I not get my points I think I would most definitely repeat my leaving cert!

Oh and if you want to know more about the surgery and it's complications, I'll post a video later because it's easier than typing it all out. lol

So there you go that's what's going on! This leaving cert is proving to be a bigger battle then I thought!
